Built by a weather-station owner

Illustrated portrait of Lennart, founder of Pro Weather

Pro Weather is built and run by Lennart, a student and weather-station owner from Belgium. His station once ran on a WordPress site using the Weather Station plugin. It worked, but required hosting, plugin updates and server maintenance. Pro Weather began as a simpler way to publish a personal weather station.

At university, Lennart learned Java and Python and worked with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Streamlit and Power BI. He applies those skills to Pro Weather's archive, charts and records.

What we build

Pro Weather connects weather hardware to a hosted, customizable website. Davis stations use WeatherLink v2. Ecowitt-compatible gateways and bridge software can send observations directly. The platform archives readings, renders charts and records, manages domains and HTTPS, and sends data to supported weather networks.

How our guides are produced

Lennart writes and reviews every guide. Instructions are checked against the working application and vendor documentation. Comparisons separate price from setup and maintenance work. Articles are revised when the product, pricing or source material changes.
