Built by a weather-station owner
Pro Weather is built and run by Lennart, a passionate student and weather-station owner from Belgium. Before this, the station's readings lived on a WordPress site running the Weather Station plugin: it worked, but it still meant hosting, plugin updates, and server maintenance. Pro Weather began when that familiar route to a public personal-weather-station site became more work than enjoying the observations themselves.
At university, Lennart learned to program in Java and Python and worked with PostgreSQL and MySQL databases, Streamlit, and big-data analysis in Power BI: the same data skills that now run Pro Weather's archiving, charts, and records.
What we build
The service connects weather hardware to a hosted, customizable website. Davis stations use WeatherLink v2; Ecowitt-compatible gateways and bridge software can push observations directly. The platform archives readings, renders charts and records, manages domains and HTTPS, and can relay data to supported weather networks.
How our guides are produced
Lennart writes and reviews every guide. Product instructions are checked against the working application and primary vendor documentation. Comparisons separate cash cost from the time and infrastructure required, and articles are revised when the product, pricing, or source material changes. Publication and revision dates appear on each article.
