$ Ecowitt and Fine Offset

A hosted website fed directly by your Ecowitt gateway

Point the gateway’s custom upload at its private Pro Weather URL and turn incoming observations into a branded public dashboard.

  • Direct gateway uploads
  • No cloud API key required
  • Works with common Fine Offset variants

An Ecowitt weather station can feed its own public website directly from the gateway, without a PC running upload software all day. In the WS View or Ecowitt app you point the customized upload at a private Pro Weather HTTPS address, and every report the gateway sends is received, normalized, and archived. No cloud API key is involved and existing uploads to other services keep working alongside it.

The same mechanism covers the wider Fine Offset family, because many brands ship the same gateway firmware with an Ecowitt or Weather Underground protocol upload option. Temperature, humidity, wind, rain, pressure, solar, UV, and supported air-quality sensors all come through when the hardware reports them.

On top of the incoming data you get a branded public site with live conditions, forecasts, charts, and permanent history, served from a free subdomain or your own domain with managed SSL, with optional relaying onward to community networks, MQTT, or InfluxDB.

Use the gateway’s built-in uploader

Compatible gateways send Ecowitt or Weather Underground protocol fields to a unique HTTPS endpoint. Temperature, humidity, wind, rain, pressure, solar, UV, and supported air-quality readings enter the same normalized pipeline.

Keep the setup lightweight

There is no requirement for a Windows machine, Raspberry Pi, local database, or file uploader. Once the gateway is configured, the hosted site receives and archives each report.

Publish and relay from one place

Display observations on your own weather site and optionally forward them to supported community networks or MQTT and InfluxDB destinations.

[faq] Before you ask

Common questions

Which Ecowitt models work?

Models with a compatible customized upload option are the intended path. Available fields vary with the gateway firmware and attached sensors.

Does the gateway need internet access?

Yes. It must be able to reach the private HTTPS upload address whenever it sends an observation.
