$ CWOP integration

Send your weather observations to CWOP automatically

Configure your CWOP identity once and let the hosted publishing pipeline format and relay current station observations.

  • Scheduled publishing
  • Shared normalized weather data
  • No additional uploader process

Pro Weather can relay your personal weather station observations to CWOP, the Citizen Weather Observer Program, automatically. After you register with CWOP and receive your station identifier, you enter it once in the dashboard; the hosted publishing pipeline then formats each current observation and submits it on the regular refresh cycle, with no extra uploader process on your side.

CWOP data flows onward into networks used by forecasters and researchers, so participation puts your station readings to work beyond your own site. The relay uses the same normalized observation as your public dashboard, keeping every destination consistent.

Your website stays the primary home for the station: the permanent archive, charts, records, and station background live on your own address, while CWOP, Weather Underground, and the other supported networks receive the current conditions in parallel.

Built into the refresh pipeline

CWOP publishing runs from the same server-side observation used by the website, reducing duplicate software and inconsistent readings between destinations.

Designed for station operators

The dashboard keeps the remote identifier and publishing state together with the site configuration, making it easier to see which services are enabled.

Your website remains independent

CWOP participation can support the wider observing community while your custom site provides the branded visitor experience, charts, records, and station background.
