Connect through a vendor cloud

Paste a key from your Ecowitt or Tempest account and your station is connected. Nothing on the station changes, and unlike an upload URL, your past readings come across too. Both are on Setup → Connection → Cloud services in your site's dashboard.

Ecowitt Cloud

1. Sign in at ecowitt.net and open the API section of your profile.
2. Copy the Application Key, then generate and copy an API Key. Neither is your account password.
3. Paste them into Application key and API key on the Ecowitt Cloud card.
4. Leave Device MAC or IMEI blank to connect every device on the account, or fill it in to connect just one.
5. Choose Connect.

WeatherFlow Tempest

1. Sign in at tempestwx.com, open Settings → Data Authorizations and create a personal access token.
2. Paste it into Personal access token on the WeatherFlow Tempest card.
3. Leave Station ID blank to connect every station the token can see.
4. Choose Connect.

What happens next

• Live readings appear within a few minutes.
• Past readings import in the background, working back from today. A long archive takes a few hours; the History section on your site's Overview shows the progress.
• Coordinates and time zone come from the vendor account.
• Your keys are encrypted and never shown again.
• Some accessory readings (such as leak and snow sensors) are missing from the vendor's history API, so they start from the day you connect.

If the connection stops

If the vendor rejects the stored keys (you regenerated them or removed the device), the card shows Reconnect needed and readings stop. Paste new keys and choose Reconnect; everything resumes, including the import. Stored readings are never removed.
