Forecast
A 7-day and hourly forecast tab for your station's location, powered by Open-Meteo.
Alongside your station's live readings, your site can show what's coming: a Forecast tab with the next 24 hours and the next 7 days for your station's exact location.
What visitors see
- Next 24 hours: hour-by-hour temperature with a weather icon and, when it's 10% or more, the chance of precipitation. The first entry is "now".
- 7-day forecast: today plus the next six days, each with an icon, the chance of precipitation, and a low-to-high temperature bar that shows each day's range at a glance.
- The Overview tab's headline also uses the forecast's current condition for its icon — "Partly cloudy", "Light rain" and so on — next to your station's measured temperature.
Temperatures and rain amounts follow your site's unit system, and all labels follow your site's language.
Where the forecast comes from
Forecast data is provided by Open-Meteo, a free, open weather API, using your station's coordinates. A small "Forecast data by Open-Meteo" note appears under the forecast. The forecast refreshes roughly every 30 minutes.
Measured vs. predicted
Everything else on your site is what your station actually measured. The forecast is a model prediction for your coordinates, so it can differ from what your station ends up recording — that's normal.
Turning it on or off
The forecast is on by default. Toggle it under Settings → Weather features → Forecast (7-day & hourly) in your dashboard.
It needs your station's coordinates, which come from WeatherLink when you connect. If the toggle is greyed out or the tab never appears, your station has no location yet — open Connection and choose Reconnect & rediscover after setting the location in WeatherLink.
