The measurement tabs

Beside the Overview, your site has one tab per kind of reading your station reports. Each opens on the current value, the high, low and average, and a chart with a range switcher (24 hours to a year, as your archive allows). A tab appears only when your station reports the reading behind it.

Derived values below are calculated from your readings and follow any calibration you set.

Temperature

• Today's high and low, with the time each was set.
• A trend arrow ("rising", "falling" or "steady", graded "rapidly" or "slowly") and the change over the last hour.
• Dew point, heat index, wind chill, humidex, apparent temperature and wet-bulb temperature, each with a one-line explanation.
• Cloud base: the estimated height where clouds form.
• WBGT (shade), shown only when heat stress is a real question. See Heat stress.

Humidity

Relative humidity with its dew point, and today's high and low with their times. Vapour pressure deficit is on the Garden & agriculture tab.

Wind

Current speed, bearing and gust, plus the 10-minute average speed and bearing, the Beaufort force, today's peak gust with its bearing and time, and today's wind run (the distance the air travelled past the station). It refreshes about every minute.

When your hardware reports its own 10-minute figures (Davis WeatherLink, Ecowitt and most Weather Underground-protocol uploaders), those are shown. Otherwise Pro Weather averages the last ten minutes and says so.

Two optional extras, switched under Homepage > Maps and media > Wind and sky:

• Wind compass: the live bearing, coloured by Beaufort force, with how far it has wandered in ten minutes, the 10-minute average and where the peak gust came from.
• Wind rose: where the wind came from over the last 30 days.

Pressure

Sea-level pressure with the three-hour trend, and today's high and low with their times. When your station supplies what they need:

• Station pressure: the raw reading at your station's altitude.
• Altimeter setting: station pressure adjusted the way aircraft altimeters are, for comparison across altitudes. Needs your station's elevation.

Pressure also drives the station forecast.

Rain

Rain today, the last hour, the last 24 hours, this month and this year, the current rate and today's peak rate with its time. When your console tracks a storm, the storm total and its start date appear too. Daily totals roll over at your weather day.

Sun

Solar radiation and UV index, today's solar energy (MJ/m²) and UV dose (in MED, the dose that begins to redden skin), and sunshine hours for today and yesterday, estimated from the solar readings.

Sensors

Accessory channels from pushed hardware and vendor clouds, each with a seven-day trend where it makes sense:

• Room sensors: up to 16 extra temperature and humidity channels, each with its dew point.
• Probes: up to eight temperature probes.
• Lightning: strikes today, time and distance of the last strike, and strikes per day this week.
• Leak detectors: wet or dry per channel, and when it last went wet.

Soil and leaf sensors are on the Garden & agriculture tab. The Sensors tab hides itself when your station reports none of these.
